Police name biker who died in crash with bus

POLICE have named the motorcyclist who died following a collision on the A82 near Invergarry yesterday.

He was 48-year-old Ewan Smith from Renfrew.

The collision between Mr Smith’s bike and a Scottish Citylink bus happened at Laggan Locks at around 1pm.

Neither the bus driver or bus passengers suffered any serious injuries.

Mr Smith was the second biker to die on Highland roads within a week.

Richard Findon (36) from Bucksburn, Aberdeen, died from his injuries in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness on Wednesday, April 5.

He came off his machine on the A95 at Cromdale, Grantown-on-Spey, on Saturday, March 25 after it was in collision with a Land Rover Discovery.
