THE Princess Royal is to visit Ross-shire for the second time within three months.

Princess Anne will be at Dingwall Academy on Tuesday October 1 to meet the staff and pupils during a tour of the school.

She will have the chance to find out how pupils have raised funds for The Teenage Cancer Trust and watch young people taking part in a defibrillator training session led by trainers from the HeartStart "Lucky2Bhere" project.

Later, she will visit Keltic Seafare in Dingwall to present the company which supplies premium quality shellfish across the globe with their Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Princess Anne’s visit comes on the heels of her call at Ullapool in July when she performed the opening of the first ever St Ayles Skiff World Championships.

• The royal visit to Dingwall Academy will also involve a tour of Dingwall Community Library and library users are advised that it will be closed to the public on Tuesday October 1 from 9am to 12 noon.
