THE Royal Burgh of Tain Community Council is to host an election hustings in the town on Tuesday evening.
All six candidates who are standing for election to the Tain and Easter Ross ward of Highland Council on May 4 have been invited to attend.
Each will be afforded five minutes to give an account of their reasons for standing for election.
The order of presentation will be drawn at the beginning of the meeting and there will follow a question and answer session from members of the public.
The hustings is in the Assembly Hall of Tain Royal Academy at 7pm and will conclude by 9pm.
It will be chaired by Peter Whiteley, a retired Tain Royal Academy teacher and former chairman of the Royal Burgh of Tain Community Council.
