STRIKER Steven Craig turned his back on a move to Iceland to sign a new deal with SPL-bound Ross County this week.He, along with number one goalkeeper Michael Fraser, agreed fresh one-year contracts


Ross County defender Scott Boyd DEFENDER Scott Boyd today (Wednesday) became the 10th title-winning Ross County star to sign a new deal at the club. The popular stopper, nicknamed by Staggies fans "The Ginger Pele", has been a key player at the back as the Dingwall side have soared into the SPL by winning the Irn Bru Division One title.

DELIGHTED Clach boss Iain Polworth tipped his stars to carry their lightning form into next season, after securing a 10-placed Highland League finish. Clach crushed Fraserburgh 7-3 on Saturday to end up 16 points better off than last season, and Polworth hailed his team's heroics in the last two months, in a run which has seen the Lilywhites lose just twice in 14 league matches.

Concerned Fort FC chairman John Watssman THE future of Fort William Football Club is in grave doubt after its committee failed to appoint a new chairman and secretary at their annual general meeting last night (Wednesday). An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) will now be held later this month, at which the key roles must be filled or the Highland League club will have to fold.

Ryan Esson TERRY Butcher hailed Ryan Esson as one of Scotland's best goalkeepers on the day when Caley Thistle's number one signed a new two-year deal. In the first big signing news of the close season from Inverness, manager Butcher is thrilled to secure the 32-year-old's services until 2014.
