DELIGHTED Clach boss Iain Polworth tipped his stars to carry their lightning form into next season, after securing a 10-placed Highland League finish.

Clach crushed Fraserburgh 7-3 on Saturday to end up 16 points better off than last season, and Polworth hailed his team's heroics in the last two months, in a run which has seen the Lilywhites lose just twice in 14 league matches.

CLACH hit the 50-point mark in some style in the Highland League on Saturday as they crushed Fraserburgh 7-3 at Grant Street. In their final game of the season, Sam Urquhart hit a hat-trick, Paul Brindle notched a double and Allan Pollock and Scott Graham also got in on the act to send the Lilywhites into 10th spot.

Clach's hat-trick hero Sam Urqhart left Fort William floored in Friday's 6-0 romp. CLACH'S impressive form continued on Wednesday night as they ran out 4-0 winners at Strathspey Thistle in the Highland League. Sam Urquhart got the ball rolling when he cashed in on a 12th minute mistake by the home defence and slotted a cool shot into the net.

CLACH boss Iain Polworth hopes his returning heroes from Down Under can lift the club to new heights next season. Scott Morrison, who became Polworth's latest signing at the weekend, and Scott Graham, hat-trick hero in Saturday's 4-1 home win over Keith, have both recently returned from stints working in Australia, and the boss hailed their work-rate since coming to Grant Street Park.

Clach's Scott Graham (white) opens the scoring in the midweek 1-1 draw with Nairn County. CLACH are already 10 points better off than their final Highland League tally from last season following their impressive 4-1 home win against Keith on Saturday - inspired by a Scott Graham treble. On a day when Forres Mechanics were crowned champions for the first time since 1986, the signs are positive that Iain Polworth's Inverness side could really kick on next term.
