Lee Cox has completed his move from Inverness CT to Swindon Town.

LEE Cox this morning (Tuesday) completed his switch to Swindon Town from Caley Thistle by signing a two-and-a-year contract.

Swindon boss Paolo di Canio has been tracking Cox and discussions have been ongoing over the past few days.

Caley Thistle chairman Kenny Cameron said: "We accepted an increased bid from Swindon and all the paperwork is now in place and Lee has returned to England after."

It's understood the fee was in the region of £50,000.

Cox, 21, made a total of 60 appearances for Caley Jags, scoring three goals, although this season injury has restricted his outings. He came to Inverness in July 2009 and made a great impact in his first season, starting 33 of the 36 games as Caley Jags swept to the First Division championship and a return to the SPL.

Cox came through the Leicester City network, helping them win the Premier Academy League title in 2006-07, winning a professional contract. But he did not make the first-team at City.

Inverness CT manager Terry Butcher said: "We're grateful for Lee's contribution to our club and he leaves with our best wishes. Thanks to coming here, he has earned himself a new opportunity back in England."

With Steve Williams, Claude Gnakpa and Sam Winnall all being signed by Caley Thistle during the transfer window, the squad is now ready for the remainder of the season.
