Results go County's way after call-off

ROSS County’s fixture pile-up increased at the weekend when their Irn Bru Division One clash at home to Morton was washed out by the downpours.

The pitch at Victoria Park, Dingwall, was waterlogged which led to Saturday's Ross County v Morton game being postponed.

The league leaders saw the Victoria Park pitch waterlogged and the match against mid-table Ton was an early call-off.

Derek Adams’ team now have three games in hand over title-chasing rivals Falkirk and Dundee, which is far from ideal, but still hold a two-point advantage over the Bairns.

Falkirk hit back from falling 2-0 behind at Raith Rovers on Saturday, but left with a point in a 2-2 draw, while Dundee were held to a goalless draw at Partick Thistle.

Elsewhere, Ayr United and Hamilton Accies shared four goals at Somerset Park, while it was the same outcome between Livingston and visitors Queen of the South.
