Invergordon could claim North Caledonian League title tomorrow in final game

Invergordon could be crowned North Caledonian League champions if they beat Inverness Athletic tomorrow.
The Ross-shire outfit moved four points clear at the top with two games to go after eventually beating Clachnacuddin A 1-0 in Inverness on Wednesday.
Invergordon left it late as they scored in the 93rd minute through Blair Morrison.
The win means Invergordon can win the title tomorrow if they beat Inverness Athletic.
The match will take place at Dalmore Park in Alness at 1pm. If they do, it will be the seventh time Invergordon will have won the North Caledonian League and first since the 2021-22 season.
Defending champions Loch Ness will be hoping for Invergordon to slip up in the title race when they head to Caithness to take on Thurso.
Avoiding defeat is vital for Loch Ness to have any chance of retaining the league title which they won for the first time last season.
Thurso still have a chance of avoiding finishing bottom of the table after a 4-3 win over Bonar Bridge last week and will be desperate for points.
St Duthus are on the road tomorrow as they travel west to take on Fort William at Claggan Park. Saints will be looking to bounce back from a 5-3 defeat against Orkney in Kirkwall last week.
Saints were 2-1 up with goals on the hour mark thanks to a Wayne Kirkness own goal and Thomas Lewis strike which cancelled out Gregor Dowall’s opener.
Chris Simpson equalised for the Orcadians, but John Maclellan put St Duthus 3-2 up at half time.
But the Tain club’s defence imploded in the final 10 minutes with Owen Young scoring twice and Dowell finding his season.
Alness United finished their season on a high last weekend with an impressive 2-0 win at Halkirk United.
Joel Burnett scored twice to bring all three points back to Alness. The result means Alness United can finish no higher than ninth and can only be caught by Clachnacuddin A below them.
Halkirk United take on Clachnacuddin A at Morrison Park and Goslpie Sutherland host Orkney at King George V Park.
