ULLAPOOL’S music festival, Loopallu, will be staged again in 2018 despite organisers saying this year’s event was the last.
A scaled-down version of Loopallu was held on Ullapool pier in September after the festival lost its regular venue.
Organisers said it would be the last staging of the popular festival which had run for 13 years.
But this week festival founder Robert Hicks said: "It appears that you are a resourceful lot and one by one, during this year’s event festival goers told me that regardless of whether Loopallu continued or not, their accommodation for 2018 was booked so they would be making their annual journey to Ullapool.
"So as long as you want to keep coming, we will try and keep putting it on. Hopefully, here’s to the next 13 years."
Tickets online go on sale for 2018 at 10am on Friday, November 17 from www.loopallu.co.uk
A limited number of physical tickets will be available from Eden Court in Inverness and The Arch Inn Ullapool from noon on November 24.
